Managing users: employees, administrators and residents

Who you can create from your account, how a new user is invited, what a second administrator sees, and how you look in on a customer as a reseller or managing agent.

Under Users in the menu you manage the accounts that belong with yours. What you see there and what you are allowed to create depends on your type of account.

The Users overview of a customer

Who sees whom

Your account What you see under Users
Customer Only yourself, plus the administrators you created yourself.
Employer Yourself and your employees.
Owners' association The residents of the building.
Employee or resident Only yourself.
Reseller All your customers.

Which type of user you can create

Type What it is
Employee A member of staff with a home charge point or a company charge card. They see their own charging sessions and charge card; home charging sessions are settled with you as the employer through split billing.
Administrator A second sign-in with exactly the same access as you: the same charge sites, charge points, charge cards, invoices and payouts. Handy for a colleague, accountant or business owner, without sharing your own password. An administrator has no billing or address details of their own; those stay with you.
Resident A resident of an owners' association with their own charge point in the shared car park.

An employer can create employees and administrators, a customer only administrators, an owners' association residents.

Adding a user

  1. Under Users, click the button to create a new user.
  2. Choose the type: Employee or Administrator. As a customer you only get Administrator.
  3. Enter the Name and the Email address. Each email address can belong to only one account. For an employee you also enter their phone, IBAN and address: the IBAN is needed to pay out their home charging sessions, the address determines the CREG tariff of their region.
  4. Confirm.

The first step when creating a user: choosing the type

The new user immediately receives an email with the subject "Complete your account". Through the link in it they choose a password. The link expires after seven days; in that case do not create the account again, but have the user use Forgot password? on the sign-in page.

What an employee or resident sees

After signing in, an employee or resident sees their own charge site and charge point, their charge cards, their charging sessions and their invoices and payouts. They never see data of colleagues or neighbours. What they manage themselves is described in Your profile and billing details.

Looking in on a customer as a reseller or managing agent

Resellers and managing agents can sign in as one of their customers: in the list under Users, click the icon to sign in as that user. You then see exactly what the customer sees and can change settings for them. At the top of the page is a bar that takes you back to your own account. This only works for active accounts and if your account has that right.

Employers, resellers and owners' associations also see an organisation menu at the top right, with Organization profile (the name and the members of your organisation) and Roles.

Something is missing

Do you not see a charge site, charge point or invoice that you expected? Send the email address of the account and what is missing to support@wattify.be. Wattify will then grant the right access.
