The Wattify app

Who the app is for, what you do with it and what you do not, the three ways to start a charging session, the colours on the map and where you find your invoices.

Next to the portal there is the Wattify app for iPhone (iOS 15.1 or higher, through the App Store) and Android (through Google Play). You sign in with the same email address and password as in the portal. The app needs an internet connection.

Who the app is for

  • Employees who charge with their company charge card.
  • Employers and owners of charge sites who want to keep track of their charge points, staff and charge cards.
  • Owners' associations and residents of a building with Wattify charge points.
  • Subscribers with a Wattify subscription and a linked charge card.

The app is not meant for passers-by who want to charge once: for that there is the QR code on the charge point, without an account. See Charging with the QR code on the charge point. You create an account through the portal or through your employer, not in the app.

What you do with the app

  • Find charge points on a map with the current availability, the address, the connector types and the prices.
  • Start a charging session: remotely, through the QR code or by typing the name of the charge point.
  • View your sessions, with duration, consumption and cost.
  • View your invoices, with net, VAT and total.
  • View your charge cards and choose one when starting a session.
  • View your running consumption and the date of your next invoice.
  • As an employer: view your staff and their charge cards.
  • Sign in with Face ID or fingerprint: switch that on under Profile → Settings. If the biometric sign-in does not work, you can always sign in with email address and password.

What the app does not do

Not in the app Where instead
Creating an account Through the portal or your employer
Paying Through the invoices, by bank transfer or direct debit
Stopping a session remotely At the charge point: present your charge card or unplug the cable
Reserving or scheduling a session Charge points work on the basis of availability
Adding staff or assigning charge cards In the portal, see Managing users: employees, administrators and residents

Starting a charging session

Plug in the car first; the charge point has to be ready to charge. Then choose one of the three ways:

  1. Through the map: tap an available charge point, choose your charge card and tap Start charging.
  2. Through the QR code: tap Manual start and scan the QR code on the charge point.
  3. Through the name: tap Manual start and type the name of the charge point; it is shown on the charge point.

Confirm with your charge card. You stop at the charge point.

The colours on the map

Colour Meaning
Green Available and ready to charge
Orange Almost full, limited availability
Red Occupied, all connectors in use
Grey Not available or status unknown

Your invoices in the app

Go to Profile → My Invoices. Per invoice you see the number, the payment reference (structured communication), the due date, the net amount, the VAT at 6% and 21%, the total and the charging sessions on it. You download the pdf and the UBL file from within the invoice.

Forgotten password

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password. You end up on the Wattify website, where you request a new password with your email address. See Signing in and your password.

Notifications

The app sends a notification for important events, for instance when a new invoice is ready. For that, give permission for notifications at the first start and stay signed in.
