Technical settings and load balancing
The technical details of your connection that drivers see in their app, load balancing to spread the available power across your charge points, and a charging schedule to charge at fixed hours.

The Advanced Settings tab of the charge site contains settings that you normally fill in once, preferably together with your installer. Wrong values affect the operation of the charge points and the roaming. First switch on Enabling Advanced Settings; the three sections below then appear.

Technical Information
Wattify passes these details on to the roaming partners: it is what drivers see about your charge points in their app. Make sure they are correct.

Load balancing
Load balancing spreads the available power of your connection across the cars that are charging at the same time, so that the main fuse does not blow. To do so, Wattify limits the power per charge point and adjusts it as soon as cars are added or leave.

| Load balancing with energy meter | Measures the consumption of the rest of the building with an energy meter (on the digital meter for example) and gives the charge points what is left. That way you charge faster at times when the building consumes little. |

If load balancing is switched on, the Load Balancing tab appears below the form with the current distribution of the power across the charge points that are charging. If a car charges more slowly than expected, look there first: a connector with the status SuspendedEVSE is waiting for power.
How fast a car charges also depends on the car itself (the on-board charger), the cable, the number of phases and the temperature; the FAQ on wattify.be explains the differences between single-phase and three-phase connections.
Charging schedule
With a charging schedule you let the car start and stop charging at a fixed hour every day, at night for example, during the cheap hours of a dynamic tariff or of the CREG tariff. As long as Wattify is the operator of your charge point, the manufacturer's app (Easee for example) blocks its own charging schedule; the Wattify charging schedule replaces it.
This is how it works: plug the car in, but do not present the charge card. At the start time Wattify sends a start command with the chosen charge card to every charge point of the charge site that is free; a charge point where a charging session is already running at that moment is skipped. At the stop time Wattify stops the running charging session of that charge card. The times apply in the time zone of the charge site.

| Charge card | The charge card the charging session starts with. The charging session is registered in the name of that charge card and is invoiced that way too. You choose from your own charge cards and the charge cards that are linked to the charge site. |
A start time after the stop time is allowed: with Start time 23:00 and Stop time 06:00 the car charges through the night. The start and stop time may not be the same.
The charging schedule only works as long as Enabling Advanced Settings is switched on; if you switch that off, the charging schedule stops as well. Under Last run you see when Wattify sent the last start command and the last stop command, in the time zone of the charge site. If you move a time to a later hour after Wattify has already carried it out that day, Wattify carries it out again at the new hour; if you move it to an hour that has already passed, the new time applies from the next day.
