A charge card is the card, key fob or badge a driver uses to start a session. In Wattify you link the RFID code of the card to a user; that way the platform knows who charged and to whom the session is invoiced or paid out. You find your cards under Charge cards in the menu.

The types of charge cards
When creating a card you choose the type. Which types you see depends on your account.
| Type | For whom | How sessions are processed |
|---|---|---|
| Employee with a home charging point | Employers | The employee charges at work and at home; home charging sessions are invoiced to the employer through split billing and reimbursed to the employee. |
| Employee without a home charging point | Employers | The employee can only charge at the employer's charge sites. |
| Whitelisted private charging card | Everyone | For private sessions that may not be invoiced, for example an employee's private car on their own home charge point, or your own car on your own charge point. |
| Charging on the Wattify Network | Clients | A card to charge at all public Wattify charge points. The sessions are invoiced monthly at the tariff of each charge site. |
Creating a charge card
- Under Charge cards, click Create a charging card.
- Choose the Type of charging card.
- Fill in the details: for an employer the Employee the card is for, and always a Name, the RFID code and optionally the License plate of the car.
- Read the summary in the Note! window and confirm with I understand, create.

The RFID code is the unique code on the card; you find it on the card itself or with your supplier, or you read it out with learning mode or with your phone: see Learning mode and RFID codes. Each code can only be linked to one card.
The card automatically gets its own email address for the session emails, and the Email after charging session option is switched on. Residents of an owners' association add their card in the same way; such a card only works on their own charge point.
Several cards at once
With Import charge cards you upload a file with several cards in one go, for example for an entire fleet. The window shows which columns the file has to contain.
Changing a charge card
Open the card and click Edit.
- Under Data you change the name, the RFID code and the license plate. An employee can use Assign to employer to indicate whether a card belongs to the company or is private.
- Under Settings:
- Active: switch off to block the card, for example when it is lost or when an employee leaves the company. A blocked card can no longer start a session. Switch it back on to use it again.
- Email after charging session: switch off if the driver does not want an overview by email after each session.
- Has charge card limit and Monthly charge card limit: cap the consumption of the card per month; above the limit the charge point refuses the card until the next month.
At the bottom of the card you find the charge sites and charge points where it was used and its most recent charging sessions.

Deleting a charge card
Only delete a card if it will definitely no longer be used; the sessions of the card are kept. If in doubt, rather block the card by switching Active off.
